Camera Movements ( Theory )

 Camera Movement is a film-making technique that causes a change in frame or perspective through the movement of camera. Camera Movement allows cinematographers and directors to shift audience views without cutting scenes. 

  • Panning consists of horizontal and vertical movement of the camera to shoot the film. The Pan turns camera either to left and right.
  • Tracking Shot ( Dolly Shot ) is the movement of camera towards or from an object or subject. 
  • Zooming , zoom doesn't really move enlarges or reduces the proportion of frames.
  • Crane/Helicopter the camera are free from the ground.
  • Tilt pivots the camera upwards or downwards often to survey surroundings/environment.
  • Hand Held shots the camera  is carried by the operator often creating an uneven environment.
